RIC Centre is proud to announce that we will be giving students a chance to participate in our annual competition Innovator Idol on Wednesday June 13th 2012 at the Noel Ryan Auditorium – 301 Burnhamthorpe W, Mississauga, ON.
What is Innovator Idol?
Innovator Idol is a competition modeled as a hybrid of American Idol and Dragon’s Den where 4 companies are invited to present a new innovation to an investor panel for feedback. The most innovative ideas and the best pitches are chosen by the audience to win $50,000 in prizes. One student can win the chance to pitch their idea to the expert panel and receive feedback.
As a prospective entrepreneur, this is a unique chance to develop and evaluate the business plan for your new innovation before launching it in the competitive and volatile marketplace. The panelists will judge the viability of your idea to see if you have a competitive advantage, a unique value proposition and a competitive business model. The deadline for student application is Friday June 1st.
What do you have to gain by joining in?
– A comprehensive interview about yourself and your idea will be featured on our blog which gets about 4000 individual readers a month.
– By applying to compete you will receive a free ticket to the event regardless of if you are chosen or not ($25 value)
– A chance to network with the most brilliant and innovative minds in the country.
– The first look at what could potentially be the next industry changing product/service.
