Innovate>Forward Scores High!

July 4, 2012 RICCentre

By: Tim Scott

Innovate>Forward has concluded the last of its 6 sessions and the word is in: evaluations give the program an 8 of 10. A combination of first-hand industry experience, niche expertise and practical take away tools struck a chord with attendees from 38 companies that came to at least one of the six sessions from January to June.

Innovate>Forward hit at the core of need for manufacturers in Southern Ontario; with manufacturers feeling the global competitive pinch, having a path to strengthen their foundation and understanding a better way forward, was of significant benefit. My numbers have our program at 8 out of 10!

Missed a session? Want to review a topic, download one of the tools? Click here for resources and video presentations for the entire series.

The final session on “collaboration” was a timely topic. Innovate>Forward was the result of collaboration among many like-minded businesses, partners, suppliers and researchers that worked together to strengthen Ontario’s advanced manufacturing sector. Kudos to Innovate>Forward sponsors, the ABB Group and RIC Centre, and all participating partners:

  • National Research Council of Canada
  • Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters
  • Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium
  • Ontario Centres of Excellence
  • Business Development Bank of Canada
  • Sheridan Collage
  • City of Brampton

Thanks to all and our participants in particular, many of which attended all 6 sessions. Remember, it’s never too late to turn what you have into a new product or service.
