Sampling Goes Social with Sampler App July 17, 2015 RICCentre By: Amarpreet Kaur, RIC Centre Communications Officer Are you looking for an easy and efficient way to distribute samples and promotions for your brand? Sampler may be your solution! Sampler is an online sampling, management and analytics platform designed to help brands, agencies, and retailers manage the distribution of digital promotional offers in a more targeted and measurable way. Marketers are able to accomplish their goals through various campaign strategies offered by Sampler. The platform allows brands to create campaigns on social media networks to reach new consumers. Campaign offers pop up on timelines of brand followers, prompting them to claim a sample or promotion and send it to a friend. Sampler also helps brands with synergistic target audiences to be featured in one place where consumers can claim samples from brands that they haven’t tried before: cross-promotional events are hosted on Sampler’s Facebook page. Brands can also scanning technology to distribute samples through print advertisements and in-store kiosks. Traditional strategies don’t allow brands to properly target and measure sampling and promotional campaigns, so they become a waste of time and resources for many companies. Developed by marketers for marketers, Sampler revolutionizes the way brands distribute samples and promotional offers. Using the management platform, brands can target offers to specific demographics using precise segments of their own audience or by collaborating with complimentary brands during cross-promotional events. RIC Centre’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence John MacDonald and Marie Chevrier, CEO and Founder of Sampler, worked closely to help fast-track the venture to market. “The RIC [Centre] assisted Sampler by providing mentorship and introduction to investors,” notes Marie. Since Sampler’s launch in 2013, the company has grown to 81 clients and was able to successfully close a $1 million seed funding round in Q1 of 2015. Marie was also selected to participate in Startup Next, a global program hosted by Google for entrepreneurs. RIC Centre is very proud to see the results of the services provided to Marie and her team! As Sampler plans for a Series A funding round in 2016 to expand into the North American market, we wish them the utmost success! This RIC Centre graduate continues to innovate and revolutionize the future of promotional marketing.
