Every year, hundreds of water leaders from government, industry, non-profit organizations, and academia gather for the Canadian Water Summit. The 2016 event will draw business leaders from major sectors of the Canadian economy with an interest in best practices in water innovation and the latest trends is assessment water-related risks. Attendees come from across Canada and internationally to network with their peers and establish new linkages and relationships in the water sector. A large percentage of delegates each year are new to the event and many are local to the city and province in which the summit is located.
New or old, everyone agrees it is a ‘must attend’ event.
With $2 billion of funding announced in the recent budget for a dedicated Clean Water and Wastewater fund, it’s obvious that water is big business in Canada. Join your peers and leaders in the water industry for a discussion on how Canada can grow its economy by capitalizing on its strengths in the water sector. Led by Summit Chair, Brenda Lucas of the Southern Ontario Water Consortium, you will hear keynote presentations from federal Minister of Infrastructure, Amarjeet Sohi; Ontario’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Glen Murray and Roy McGregor from the Globe & Mail. You will also learn from presentations by distinguished speakers from organizations across North America and around the world, be engaged with fun networking and matchmaking events, celebrate the brightest in water at the Water’sNext Awards dinner and have an opportunity to paddle the Don River in conjunction with our lead sponsor, the Toronto Region Conservation Authority.
