About the Concierge Service:
Concierge is a Government of Canada program that provides a single access point where small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can find high-quality, timely advice to help them innovate and accelerate their growth. Developed, implemented and operated by the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) in collaboration with federal and provincial partners, Concierge improves innovation and economic opportunities for SMEs by helping them navigate the available funding, innovation resources, and support programs. By combining online, phone and in-person services, it addresses the individual needs of SME clients.

About the Industrial Research Assistance Program:
The National Research Council-Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) is Canada’s premier innovation assistance program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is a vital component of the NRC, a cornerstone in Canada’s innovation system, regarded world-wide as one of the best programs of its kind. IRAP provides technology assistance to SMEs, at all stages of the innovation process, to build their innovation capacity and successfully take their ideas to market. Through expert technical and business advice, financial assistance, access to business information, contacts, and national and international networks, the program provides customized solutions to some 11,000 SMEs annually.

About the Speaker:
Peter has an engineering degree from University of Toronto. His technical background is in the areas of software development and R&D/ project management, video, graphics, broadcasting, web and mobile development. During his career Peter had exposure to the number of industries such as PC and CE manufacturing, advertising, broadcasting, post production, banking and defense. Peter has hands on experience in bringing innovative and disruptive products from concept to market through a full development cycle. He has worked on industry standards committees as well as with global industry partners such as Apple, Microsoft, Intel and Sony. Peter has significant international experience working with customers and partners spanning Canada, US, Europe and Asia.
