Sheridan’s Digital Marketing Program Applications Close April 30th April 22, 2021 Sheridan College is offering a free digital marketing training program with the support of Future Skills Centre, specifically targeting underrepresented small business owners – applications close April 30th. As a participant, you will receive a free 12-week digital marketing training program, tailored to your business. You will also receive a $500 budget to use towards digital marketing activities, such as website development, online ads, and email marketing. ABOUT Building Small Business Resilience (BSBR) Training Program The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected underrepresented businesses due to their existing economic fragility and financial health. Whilst businesses are forced to pivot online, owners are facing the needs to quickly upskill their digital marketing capabilities. The BSBR Training Program is designed specifically to address these vital skill gaps and build resilience amongst underrepresented small business owners to prepare them for any future economic shock and disruption. The project aims to: Increase equitable, diverse and inclusive participation in small business sectors Develop optimal training courses and tools to bridge digital marketing skill gaps for underrepresented small business owners Data collected in this study will be used to design and develop other training programs and learning tools in adult education, experiential learning, and digital marketing Who can participate? Be 19 years of age or older. Identify as a woman, Indigenous person, Racialized, immigrant, LGBTQ2S+, a person with a disability or a person without a post-secondary education. Have operated a Canadian owned small business within Canada for over 2 years. Have a business website that has been active for over 2 years.
