The RIC Centre Champion Series offers entrepreneur and startup strategy support to provide high potential entrepreneurs pitch practice and opportunities to meet with business, technology, and financial experts. Panelists provide clients with feedback on strategy and gain exposure to the ONE Network.
360 Virtual Advisory Board
The 360 Virtual Advisory Board is comprised of individuals and organizations that attend on a community partnership and volunteer basis. The member structure breakdown is based on the regional economic and business ecosystem and the mix of organizations at the table reflects the local players in the community. The purpose of this meeting is for experts from software, hardware, and sales channels to provide entrepreneurs and startups advice on business model and go-to-market strategy.
The Regional Alliance is an informal meeting with organizations and subject-matter experts involved in the commercialization process of new and emerging technologies that support budding enterprises, startups and entrepreneurs. The goal of the Regional Alliance is to proactively champion successful technology commercialization by linking identified opportunities to committed resource providers (Federal, Provincial, Municipal, Industry, Investment, and Private Sector), and engaging their respective communities as functional incubators. Their ultimate objective is to drive job creation, revenue growth, follow-on investments, and social benefits to their local communities and to Ontario as a whole.
Investment Review Panel
The Investment Review Panel is composed of a group of finance and investor experts that meet to provide a targeted review of client startup companies prior to external presentations to potential investors. This panel provides exposure for high potential companies to the network as well as guidance and strategy support to increase the investment success rate of companies. The objective of the panel is to focus on the company business model and financials to prepare the company to seek financing from appropriate sources including government funding, angel, private and commercial. The panel provides realistic market feedback and connections to appropriate funding opportunities to drive company growth, job creation and economic benefits to the community.
Note: Champion Series’ entrepreneur and startup strategy support is only open to high potential RIC Centre clients recommended by their Entrepreneurs-in-Residence. If you are interested in becoming a RIC Client, please register your company today.
